Who We Are


DaVinci Legacy Group was conceived as an online source of inventor help by Kent Connick and Preston Connick in early 2006. While our website is relatively new, the Connick brothers are qualified professionals with over 60 years of collective experience in the fields of marketing, sales, advertising and consumer product work.


Kent Connick

Kent's 30+ years of sales, marketing and advertising communications is characterized by successful leadership in the areas of business and relationship building, product and market research, development of communications strategies and tactics, creative development, project and budget management, client service, invention development and new product marketing to the DRTV and manufacturing industries.

In addition to extensive entrepreneurial experience, Kent has held high-level, high-visibility positions at several distinguished Silicon Valley advertising and marketing firms. His clients have included City of San Jose Redevelopment Agency, Amdahl, DreamWorks SKG, and Hyundai.

Kent's passion for entrepreneurialism began earlier in his career, by first co-founding Pyramid Advertising & Design in 1980, an award-winning multi-media advertising and production agency, and later by establishing Danacon Companies, a successful marketing consulting firm. He has directed marketing activities for consumer products such as TubePal™, BadhamBlade™, Chatterbox™, and Sells-It Removable Sign™. While working with these and other products, Kent began developing the invention licensing model that is now embodied in DaVinci Legacy Group.

Kent has held memberships in the Intellectual Property Owners Association and the United Inventor's Association. He and his wife Irina live in San Jose, California.


Preston Connick

Preston brings over 31 years of diversified entrepreneurial, sales, marketing, production and management experience to DaVinci Legacy Group. During his career, he has approached varying challenges with passion and tenacity. Preston has proven his ability to quickly assess options, to marshal strategic resources, and build strong team synergies. Preston has held senior sales, management, and executive-level positions at AcrossWorld Communications (AWC), Wide Area Management Services (WAMS) and Xyan Corporation.

Preston's career successes are many and varied. He spearheaded the establishment of WamsNet, the new ISP division of WAMS, and served as Division Director. He successfully negotiated the formation of a strategic partnership between WAMS and AcrossWorld Communications, and as a result, he was invited by AWC's CEO to join their team. Preston subsequently played a key role in planning the deployment of a multi-million dollar international data/voice network aimed at emerging world markets, while successfully forging strategic partnerships with Cisco, Sun Microsystems, Fujitsu, AT&T and MCI Worldcom.

Preston exhibited an entrepreneurial spirit shortly after graduating from college by starting a successful piano servicing business. Later, he co-founded Pyramid Advertising & Design, where his sales and account management skills helped build the company's annual revenues to a half million dollars in five years. He went on to establish Zebulun Enterprises, where he successfully launched a specialty music product, provided A/V production services to Ampex, Halltech and Awareness Films, implemented PR and fundraising activities for Psoriasis Research Institute and managed a very successful direct-mail marketing campaign for the Foot Health Council.

Preston lives in Los Gatos, California with his wife Teresa where he served as president of their local homeowners association for four years.
